Plant Description:

The Structural Profiling Plant for galvanized sheet metal is designed for high-efficiency production and processing of structural profiles. The system includes a motorized uncoiler, an eccentric press, an electronic feeder, and a roller profiling line, all mounted on a robust base and controlled by a PLC with encoder integration.

 

Key Features of the Structural Profiling System:

  • High Productivity: Achieves a production rate of approximately 25 meters per minute.
  • Precision: Guarantees a length tolerance of +/- 1 mm and a drilling pattern accuracy of +/- 0.2 mm.

Machine Components:

  • Motorized Uncoiler: Efficiently feeds the coil into the system.
  • Eccentric Press: Oversized tonnage for versatile mold changes and additional processing capabilities.
  • Electronic Feeder: Manages material advancement and synchronization.
  • PLC with 15-inch Touch Screen: Controls all machine operations, detects faults, and initiates automated processing.
  • Roller Profiling Line: Motorized and encoder-controlled for precise profile formation.

Advantages:

  • Versatility: Easily switch molds and roller sets for different profiles. Option to add an interchangeable profiling system (“cassette”) for quick profile changes.
  • Automated Production: Set product specifications and quantities via the PLC. Optional Industry 4.0 software enables real-time monitoring of production data and machine status.
  • Efficient Operation: Incorporates safety sensors and systems to prevent anomalies and ensure smooth operation.
  • Safety Compliance: CE certified with active and passive safety systems to protect operators and meet Italian and European safety regulations.

Operational Workflow:

  1. Profile Production: Set profile length and quantity on the PLC. Start production with a single press of the START button.
  2. Material Advancement: An electronic feeder advances the material while the press is not in contact, ensuring synchronization between the press and feeder.
  3. Profile Cutting: The profiling system stops briefly (2 seconds) to cut the profile, then resumes operation. The cut profile is automatically transferred to an ejection system.
  4. Material Handling: The ejection system moves finished profiles to a collector, which holds profiles cut to the desired length.
