The Manual Tube Drilling Machine is designed for drilling holes in tubes of various diameters to create the axis for shutters. The semi-automatic machine, compliant with CE regulations, consists of a base, a hydraulic power unit, an electrical panel, a working unit with opposed cylinders to create concentric holes, a tapping unit, and a punching system to create a slot. Based on the feasibility study conducted, the work sequence is structured as follows:
The tube, already cut to size, is manually marked at the position where the holes for the boxes are to be made.
Then, appropriate adapters are mounted on the machine depending on the diameter of the tube to be processed. By manually positioning the tube at the correct measurement relative to the mark, the machine, activated by the foot pedal, performs opposed and concentric drilling at Ñ„ 9.
With a system of mechanical stops, it is also possible to create a Ñ„ 6.75 hole for subsequent threading to M8.
Once all the drilling on the tube is completed, sometimes at Ñ„ 9 and sometimes at Ñ„ 6.75, the M8 threading is carried out using the dedicated, independent tapping system on the machine.
Finally, using the unit positioned on the right side of the machine, the slot hole is manually created at the beginning and end of the tube.
The machine is self-contained as it includes a hydraulic power unit and an electrical panel, which allow the entire work cycle to be managed via the control buttons and foot pedal.
